Aloha kākou! We’re Ola Mau Cloth Company, a Native Hawaiian, family-owned business based in Waimea, on the beautiful island of Hawaii. We began our journey in 2024 with a simple mission—to create reusable products that support families, reduce waste, and honor our culture.
The name Ola Mau means "everlasting life" or "continued well-being" in Hawaiian, reflecting our commitment to sustainability, caring for the land, and providing lasting, practical solutions for families. Our logo features kalo, a sacred plant in Hawaiian culture, which represents nourishment, family, and our kuleana (responsibility) to care for the land and future generations.
A key part of kalo is the huli, the part of the plant that can be replanted and grown again. Just like the huli, which regenerates and sustains life, we believe in the power of reusability—creating products that can be used over and over to reduce waste and support families for generations to come.
As parents living in Hawaii, we saw the challenges of disposable products—the high cost, the constant need to buy more, and the growing waste in our landfills. With Hawaii’s limited resources and rising cost of living, we knew there had to be a better way. In Hawaiian culture, we believe in mālama ‘āina—caring for the land so it can care for us. Cloth diapering was our first step, but our vision doesn’t stop there.
Ola Mau Cloth Company is all about making sustainable products that help families and fit into everyday life. While we started with cloth diapers, we’re excited to expand into other reusable essentials. Our goal is to offer practical, eco-friendly solutions that help families save money while making choices that honor the land we call home.
